Who Is RCGC Bowler Vrishan Kanodia? Read On To Know More..
RCGC bowler Vrishan Kanodia will be representing India at the International Deaf Bowls Championship 2023 in Edinburgh from 1st to 14 September 2023. He will be playing against seven countries Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and two others.
A press conference was organized at RCGC Maidan Tent to announce this. Gracing the occasion was Rohan Ghosh, Captain, RCGC, Chandan Shroff, Bowling Convenor, RCGC, Sanjay Lakhotia, Maidan Convenor, RCGC and Viswanath Pai, Bowls Coach, RCGC.
Despite being hearing challenged since birth, Vrishan has overcome this disability and achieved success in the field of lawn bowling.
Vrishan joined the club seven years ago to play golf. However, he discovered his passion for lawn bowling soon. He learned about this game from the experienced bowlers at the club premises. Soon he started winning trophies at different tournaments. He also started representing RCGC at the annual bowling competition against the Royal Bangkok Sports Club.
Viswanath Pai, a national player himself took Vrishan under him and taught him the finer nuances of the game.
Vrishan credited his family, friends, and the RCGC bowling fraternity for their support and encouragement.
Vrishan’s achievement is living proof that we can overcome our limitations and fulfill our dreams with hard work.
