Ethiopian Sutume Kebede won the women’s title in the ninth edition of the Tata Steel World 25K, the first World Athletics Gold Label Road Race. In the men’s race, Ugandan Stephen Kissa defeated Kenyan Daniel Ebenyo, the reigning champion. 

The elite runners from India also had a triumphant return, with Sanjeevani winning the women’s division and Gulveer Singh setting a new event record.
