The first song Behaya from the upcoming Bengali film Ekannoborti was released in the presence of director Mainak Bhaumik, Aparajita Adhya, Sauraseni Maitra, Ananya Sen, Prasen, Kaushik Sen, Prasen’er Dol Bol, and others.

The story of Ekannoborti is about four strong women hailing from three generations. They are shattered by one tragic incident. They also have their own individual problems. The story shows how emotions are rekindled and the ties of the family are discovered once again.

Behaya has been sung by Lagnajita Chakraborty. This is one of the most important songs in the film. Ananya Sen’s character will be seen singing the song and playing the guitar at a small family gathering.

Aparajita Adhya plays a character who has never protested against anything in her entire life. However, at a certain juncture in her life, she starts protesting against certain things. Life teaches her to take a stand for herself.

The actress also said “Joint families are disintegrating in today’s times. We are living in a fast age and nuclear families are the new normal now. However, I live in a joint family and I know the immense benefits that one can get from living in a joint family. When you face a problem, you do not face it alone. There are so many people to help you out of it”.

This is the first music production of Prasen’er Dol Bol. He said that despite not being directly involved with the music production, he was part of the music of this film with the help of his musical team. He hoped that the audience will love the song.

Mainak Bhaumik said “I developed a liking for films after seeing Utsab in Nandan in 2000. Director Rituparno Ghosh might not be alive but I have finally developed a relationship with his film. Prasen and Mainak made me listen to the song and I immediately loved it. I also listened to ten other songs at that meeting alone. However, I borrowed this song immediately from them. Had they not agreed to give the song to me, I would have quarreled with them”.

Sauraseni said that she found the song soulful. From the moment she had heard the song, she has been playing it on loop.

This is Ananya Sen’s first film. The actress was visibly excited to share the screen with her teacher Kaushik Sen in the film. She also ticked off an item in her bucket list by working with Aparajita Adhya. The film has been very special for her and she urged the audiences to go to the halls and watch the film.

Kaushik Sen praised the director for shooting the song with the simplicity that the song required. The situation demanded a simple treatment from the director and Mainak Bhaumik has done that for the song.

The film is eyeing for release on 19^th November.
