hoichoi organized the official trailer launch of “Parineeta“, a web series under the Best of Bengal banner of hoichoi.

The story of “Parineeta” begins with Lalita and Shekhar’s fortuitous meeting at Monghyr station following a four-year separation, and is set against the backdrop of the Bengal Partition in 1905. The dynamic Debchandrima Singha Roy portrays Lalita, a lively young lady whose memories of Shekhar—played by the gifted Gaurav Chakrabarty—come pouring back. Their relationship goes beyond mere friendship because it is based on years of companionship and shared feelings. There are hints of their romance as young adults, which gives their reunion a nostalgic and yearning quality.

The series is directed by Aditi Roy and adapted for the screen by Sarbari Ghoshal.

The cast of the series consists of Gaurav Chakrabarty, Debchandrima Singha Roy, Arpan Ghoshal & others.

Gaurav Chakrabarty said “Shekhar is a nuanced individual with a wide range of feelings. Getting to know him better and bringing out his passion and inner conflicts was a gratifying experience. I can’t wait for everyone to see the trailer and discover Parineeta’s magic”.

The music has been composed by Indraadip Das Gupta

The series will air from 15th August. It will also have a simultaneous release in Hindi (dubbed).
