NABH

Being the first hospital in West Bengal to have its emergency department accredited by NABH, Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital has raised the bar for emergency care. This esteemed honor reaffirms the hospital’s dedication to offering top-notch emergency medical care while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and treatment.

Following a thorough evaluation process that considers important factors like infrastructure, emergency preparedness, staffing, triage system, and quality management, the NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) accreditation is granted. These requirements have been met and surpassed by Woodlands Hospital’s 10-bed emergency room, guaranteeing smooth, life-saving procedures all day and all night.

The department has a strong triage system that groups patients according to how serious their conditions are. To ensure prompt and appropriate care, the two-bed section designated for extremely critical patients, the three beds designated for moderately critical cases, and the three beds designated for less critical patients are color-coded. This methodical approach guarantees effective resource use and improves patient outcomes.

The emergency setup’s capabilities are further enhanced by the addition of a dedicated negative/positive pressure room, which is essential for infection control. Additionally, the department has four ventilator-supported beds, which is a noteworthy ratio that improves critical care preparedness.

Woodlands guarantees professional intervention at all times by having emergency medicine specialists on call around the clock. Rapid diagnosis and treatment for trauma and accident cases are made possible by the emergency department’s 24-hour radiological investigation facilities and procedure room for minor procedures.

Troponin I and Troponin T tests, portable ECG, ECHO, ultrasound, and defibrillators are important emergency diagnostic tools that further support the hospital’s ability to respond quickly and accurately to medical emergencies.

Thanks to this accreditation, Woodlands Hospital in West Bengal, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Myanmar can set new benchmarks for quality and patient safety in emergency care.
