Director Abhinay Deo, who is well-known for his content-driven films, acknowledged that writers are frequently disregarded and that the film industry has to discuss the importance of all the technicians that go into making a film.

The director was speaking with the media outside the Savi movie teaser.

The action thriller stars Anil Kapoor, Divya Khossla, and Harshvardhan Rane.

When asked why people typically don’t give authors enough respect and why they are frequently overshadowed by attractiveness, he said “I agree that in our industry, we often don’t talk about writers, but everything starts with the writer. They serve as the foundation. They are the ones who write the stories that we are telling. And I concur that the writer’s greatest contribution is to the film industry. But that’s only the start of it; after that, everyone else—actors, directors, technicians, and other people—enters and takes over everything, and they may get left behind. That being said, a writer shouldn’t be abandoned in any way”.

“It takes a team to make a movie. One man cannot do it alone. A team works on it. I think we should take this opportunity, to applaud all those technicians, whom we do not talk about ever. The process starts with the writer and producer, and from that point till the final product, a film, releases in cinema halls, there are more than 200–300 people involved” said Deo.

In Savi, a straightforward housewife tries to save her husband from an English high-security prison.
