Yamaha Launches The New FZ-X Hybrid Motorcycle

With its unique hybrid engine technology, color TFT meter, and turn-by-turn (TBT) navigation system, India Yamaha Motor (IYM) announced the release of the 2025 FZ-X model, further enhancing the premium riding experience for riders and bringing additional convenience. With a hybrid engine, the 2025 FZ-X model costs INR 1,49,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and comes in Matte Titan.
Advanced features like the Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and Stop & Start System (SSS) are introduced by Yamaha’s hybrid engine. These technologies automatically cut the engine off at idle and restart it with a quick clutch action, resulting in quieter starts, battery-assisted acceleration, and increased fuel efficiency. The new FZ-X Hybrid’s 4.2-inch full-color TFT instrument cluster, which easily connects to smartphones via the Y-Connect app, adds to its allure. A seamless and trouble-free riding experience is also ensured by the Turn-by-Turn (TBT) navigation, which is integrated with Google Maps and offers real-time directions, a navigation index, intersection information, and road names.
Mr. Itaru Otani, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group said, “When we unveiled our hybrid technology in the 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid, we were ecstatic by the tremendous response. It seemed only natural to apply this discovery to the FZ-X model. We are certain that giving the FZ-X model hybrid power will increase Yamaha’s appeal even more, especially to riders looking for a high-end yet useful riding experience. We at Yamaha are always listening to the changing needs of our customers, and this most recent product demonstrates our dedication to innovation. Yamaha is reinventing mobility by fusing cutting-edge technology with a thorough awareness of rider needs”.
Offering customers a choice, the FZ-X standard variant (non-hybrid) will also be offered in Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black colors for INR 1,29,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The FZ-X boasts a neo-retro design, a robust metal body, and the now-iconic “Yamaha” logomark on the tank. Its air-cooled 149cc fuel-injected engine ensures exceptional performance. Strong acceleration and maneuverability are provided by the 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve motorcycle, which generates 12.4 PS of peak power at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Furthermore, on any road condition, the Traction Control System (TCS) and single-channel ABS provide increased confidence and agility. Even on lengthy trips, a comfortable ride is guaranteed by the front telescopic suspension, the rear 7-step adjustable Monocross suspension, and a two-level seat design with a non-slip tuck and roll design.
Yamaha has taken a big step toward the future of motorcycles with the introduction of 2025 Hybrid technology in the FZ-X.
