Yauatcha’s Debut Poila Boisakh Celebrations in Kolkata
Yauatcha is set to celebrate for the first time the special occasion of Poila Baisakh with a la carte menu. The menu features dishes with local Bengali ingredients that are traditionally eaten or used during the Bengali New Year.
Highlights of the menu are Yauatcha’s intricately folded ‘dim sum’ created with local flavours like Hibiscus chicken dumpling, the Prawn and Gondhoraj lime dumpling.
From the main dishes one can enjoy Steamed spicy bhetki with mango and mustard sauce, the Wild shrimp fried rice with pickled olive. For vegetarians there is Spicy Hakka Noodles, a local favourite. An exclusive Bengali New Year cocktail has been curated for the celebrations called Huanying Xiatian made with fresh mango, Absolut vodka, and Gondhoraj lime.
A celebration is incomplete without a dessert, and the refreshing Gondhoraj sorbet has been curated especially for the festivities and is the perfect summer dessert.
