“Youngsters Must Know About Our Amazing Culture & Heritage”-Dona Ganguly
Basant Utsav 2024’s rehearsal session was organized at the Indian Museum.
The rehearsal session was conducted by Odissi dance exponent Dona Ganguly.
Dona Ganguly with her students from Dikshamanjari will be performing at Basant Utsav 2024.
Speaking at the rehearsal session, Dona Ganguly said “It is very important to let the youngsters know about the culture and heritage of India. It is through such events that the young generations will be aware of their festivals like Kali Pujo, Durga Pujo, Diwali, and many more”.
Not only Classical songs, there will be Holi songs of different types performed at this event.
Children from Ektara, The Calcutta Foundation, and other institutions will also be taking part in this event. Dona Ganguly said that this gives the kids a sense of inclusion and they also feel happy to take part in such events.
Basant Utsav’s choreography will be done by Dona Ganguly.
Basant Utsav 2024 will take place on 23rd March at the Indian Museum Courtyard from 5 pm onwards.
