In collaboration with Club Pavilion, Merlin Group‘s sports vertical, the Yuvraj Singh Centre of Excellence (YSCE) is pleased to announce that an exclusive cricket talent hunt will begin in Kolkata on November 23, 2024. The goal of the talent hunt, which will begin in Kolkata on November 23, is to find and develop the bright young cricket players from West Bengal—and, in fact, from anyplace in India.

In order to find and develop talented young cricket players from Orissa, Northeast, North Bengal, and Sikkim, a multi-city talent hunt was previously conducted in Bhubaneswar and Siliguri.

On November 24, the hunt will also go to Patna, providing aspiring athletes with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to improve their abilities through top-notch instruction.

The talent search in Kolkata will take place on 23rd November 2024 at Merlin Rise from 8 am to 3 pm. The one-day trial will be conducted on this date by Mr. Vishal Bhatia (BCCI Level 1 Certified Coach).

Prospective cricket players are welcome to come from all over West Bengal and other Indian states, and they will have the opportunity to be chosen right away by YSCE coaches.

Full scholarships to YSCE’s Advanced Training Program, which will take place at Merlin Rise, Club Pavilion, at the Yuvraj Singh Centre of Excellence in Kolkata, will be awarded to the chosen participants from all of these talent hunt events that were hosted in Bhubaneswar, Siliguri, and will also be held in Patna and Kolkata.

The multicity talent search will take place in the following cities and dates:

Bhubaneswar: 9th November 2024

 Patna: 24th   November 2024

 Siliguri: 17th November 2024

 Kolkata: 23rd November 2024

Thinking back on his cricketing career, Yuvraj Singh said, “A lack of facilities and coaching prevented many of the gifted players in my immediate vicinity from receiving the opportunity they were entitled to when I began my career. We aim to ensure that no young cricket player is left behind with this talent quest, particularly those from East India and other similar places. Every budding athlete should have the opportunity to practice, develop, and achieve success”.

Registrations are now open for East Indian young cricketers between the ages of 10 and 19. Players can register for the talent search at http://ysce.clubpavillion.com or by contacting 03368090998.

Early registration is recommended as places are limited.
