“It is a great opportunity for me to work again with Snehasish Chakraborty for Mukut. He has been guiding me so much that I feel blessed. It is with his advice that I am taking on the responsibility of portraying Mukut in this new serial” said Shrabani Bhunia at the press conference of the upcoming Zee Bangla serial Mukut.

Also gracing the occasion were Samrat Ghosh, Chief Cluster Officer-East, Navnita Chakraborty, Chief Channel Officer, Zee Bangla, Snehasish Chakraborty, Arghya Mitra, and other cast and crew of the new serial.

Mukut was raised by her artisan father. He specialized in making Ma Durga idols. Mukut often thought that Ma Durga is a mother and she can overcome all problems with love. Then why does she need weapons? She is married to Rayan, an advocate of social justice, and fights against women trafficking. Mukut’s life takes a turn when she comes to know a striking truth about her in-laws. One of the family members is involved in women trafficking. What happens next?

Arghya Mitra who had acted in many serials with different characters will be seen in the lead role of Rayan. This is the actor’s first work as a hero. The actor expressed his excitement at having bagged a lead role and also thanked Snehasish Chakraborty for the opportunity.

The serial will showcase the dark sides of women trafficking, which is prevalent in the world even today. “Many women in India and also in other parts of the world are treated as mere objects. And they are trafficked. That is a sad reality. With this show, we will try to showcase this aspect” said Snehasish Chakraborty.

Sreeparna Roy, Ananda Ghosh, Subhasish Mukherjee, and others will be seen in vital roles in the serial.

The music director of the serial is Snehasish Chakraborty.

Mukut will air from 27th March, Monday to Friday at 9.30 pm only on Zee Bangla.
