The name Roktokorobi makes one remember Rabindranath Tagore’s play. However, the upcoming ZEE5 web series is a suspense thriller.

The upcoming Zee5 web series Roktokorobi is the brainchild of Sahana Dutta, the creative powerhouse and backbone behind multiple hit television and web shows.

An interactive session was organized with the cast of the series.

The series is directed by Sayantan Ghoshal who has been successfully making thrillers one after the other.

Following a patient’s suicide, psychologist Satyaki decides to end the practice. While traveling to Jonai to see his aunt, he becomes entangled in the mystery behind the family’s untimely demise.

Vikram Chatterjee will play Satyaki, Raima Sen will play Ranja, and Tulika Basu will play the role of Satyabati.

Both Vikram and Raima had been focusing on content-driven roles lately. And the choice of characters for this web series is nothing different.

Vikram Chatterjee while speaking about the character said that Satyaki had been successful in every endeavor in his life. It was with this incident that he tasted failure for the first time. How he deals with this failure is what the series is all about.

Raima Sen said “For portraying the role of Ranja, I had to forget that I am Raima. This is the first time that I have played a character like this one. Even though the story is about an ordinary family, it is not an ordinary story. It was while shooting the web series that I understood how difficult the character was”.

Shantilal Mukherjee, Laboni Sarkar, Bhaswar Chatterjee, Rooqma Ray, Angana Ray, and others will be seen in other roles in the web series.

The series has only 11 episodes.

The series Roktokorobi will start airing on 3^rd February.
