In the august presence of Prosenjit Chatterjee, the cast members of Filter Coffee Liquor Cha, Daab Chingri and Daawat-e-Chingri, the press conference of the three ZEE5 films was organized.

The food anthology is presented by Prosenjit Chatterjee and produced by
Nideas Creations & Productions for Zee5 OTT platform.

Speaking at the event, Prosenjit Chatterjee said “I read the scripts and I was very interested in making this food anthology. Just before the Pujas, making such films which revolves around food and also relationships made me very interested in the project. The future is in digital platforms and by making such content for the audience, we will only be opening up new avenues for film makers and actors”.

Filter Coffee Liquor Cha is about Himeli, who is the director of a cookery show. She is however unable to tolerate Subramaniam, her new Tamil vegetarian flatmate. When the TRP ratings of her show start to fall, Subramaniam comes to the rescue to Himeli. Despite being different from each other, the two get attracted to each other. What happens next?

Debarati Gupta is the director of the film and Usha Utthup, Nishan KP Nanaiah, Priyanka Sarkar and Rupsha Guha will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

“I have enjoyed working in this film so much. I am a fan of coffee. But the character of Himeli loves tea and is a contrast to her flatmate Subramaniam. How opposites attract and they come closer to each other is what the audience will have to see in the film” said Priyanka.

Daawat-e-Biryani revolves around Panchali who travels from Kolkata to Lucknow to discover her garndmother’s secret Biryani recipe. It is during this journey that she discovers important aspects of her grandmother’s life.

The director of the film is Aditi Roy. Sauraseni Maitra, Jayant Kripalani, Anuradha Mukherjee, Sudip Sarkar, Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee, Nondini Chatterjee will be seen in important roles in the film.

The music of the film has been composed by Dibyendu Mukherjee.

Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee who is a lover of Hyderabadi Biryani expressed his delight on playing the role of Wajid Ali Shah in the film. “It was a great experience playing such a role in the film” said Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee.

Daab Chingri revolves around an old age home that delivers home cooked food to meet the expenses of its residents. When the owner is diagnosed with cancer, a young girl helps them to upgrade their service to an online business model, thereby raising funds for the treatment of the owner.

Directed by Sudeep Das, the film’s cast consists of Paran Bandhopadhyay, Saheb Bhattacharjee, Ishaa Saha and Mithu Chakraborty in pivotal roles.

Saheb expressed his delight on getting such roles where he got to play a dark shaded character in the film. “I am grateful that I was considered for the role. It is not always that I am considered for such roles. It was a pleasure working in the film” said the actor.
