3rd Edition of Pinkathon Announced; India’s Biggest Women’s Run To Take Place on 31st March
The third edition of Bajaj Electricals Pinkathon Kolkata 2019 presented by COLORS, India’s biggest women’s run will be held on Sunday, 31st March 2019 at Rangers Ground, Maidan, Kolkata. Online registrations for the multi-category run are open at www.pinkathon.in/kolkata for the VWash Plus 3km, 5km & 10km run and for the 21km distance drop a mail on info@pinkathon.in.
Bajaj Electricals Pinkathon – Empowering Indian Women, India’s biggest women’s run to encourage and promote fitness & health among women and create awareness for Breast Cancer and other issues relating to women’s health is supported by United Sisters Foundation and promoted by Maximus MICE & Media Solutions. Super model, actor, Ultraman and Pinkathon founder Milind Soman formally announced the launch of the third edition of Bajaj Electricals Pinkathon Kolkata 2019 presented by COLORS at a press conference hosted by The Salt House, Elgin Road, Kolkata.
Present at the conference Dr Tanweer Shahid from Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals along with 4 Bajaj Electricals Pinkathon Kolkata mascots who expressed their wholehearted support for the noble cause.
Bajaj Electricals Ltd has come on board as title sponsors of Pinkathon.
As a precursor to the main day, the team is organizing unique events such as the Cancer Shero Trek for the cancer conquerors. This event is dedicated towards felicitating these inspiring people.
In Bajaj Electricals Pinkathon Kolkata 2019 presented by COLORS, 70 visually Impaired girls would be participating in the different run categories. To prepare them for the main day, unique training sessions are designed with the help & coordination of sighted runners. Special training runs in various parts of Bengaluru for the registered participants who have requested training for the main day. Devleena Chakraborty a baby wearing mother was announced as the mascot for 5K race category.45 plus hearing-impaired girls would be also participating in the VWashPlus 3 km category. Aparna Sen, a completely blind student from Voice of World was announced the mascot for the VWash Plus 3K race category. Suchishree Goswamy, a Cancer Conqueror was announced mascot for 21K race category and RJ Nilam from Red FM was announced the mascot for 10K race category.All of them were presented with their first bibs.As one-of-a-kind initiative, every single participant of Bajaj Electricals Pinkathon Kolkata 2019 presented by COLORS can choose to avail of a free gynaecologist consultation from our healthcare partner Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals or a free Mammogram if the participant is above 45 yrs. of age, the same is also transferrable.
Milind Soman also highlighted the concept of Pinkathon Ambassadors in every city who are passionate, extraordinary, committed men & women connecting for one cause – ‘health for every woman’.
