In the august presence of Prosenjit Chatterjee and Amitava Guha Thakurta, Regional Director, East, INOX Leisure Ltd, Bengal’s first Screen X Theater for a 270 degree panoramic movie viewing experience was launched.

Screen X allows the viewers to go beyond the traditional movie screen. The new technique uses select scenes of feature films to the left and right walls on each side. Screen X is the world’s first multi-projection theatre technology which will be enabling the audience for a complete movie viewing experience.

The new technology will offer a panoramic view offering an immersive experience. The 270 degree view will only amplify the emotional aspect but also add to the entertainment value as well.

“I was totally immersed while watching the clips on the screen. I will have to talk with camera persons as to how we can shoot Bengali films in this way so that we can show it to the audience on Screen X. The cinema halls are the temples for the actors. And with the introduction of new techniques, audience will be in for a visual treat” said Prosenjit Chatterjee.

INOX had signed a deal with CJ 4DPLEX earlier to bring the first Screen X to India and became the first multiplex operator in India to introduce this technology. India’s first Screen X Theater was launched in Inorbit Mall, Mumbai.

With the introduction of this new technique, the movie viewing experience will reach a new height in Kolkata for sure!!
