The trailer launch of the documentary film The Turning Point took place recently in the presence of director Indranil Sarkar, Irom Sharmila Chanu, Desmond Coutinho and Jaspreet Kaur.

The film is based on the life of the Iron Lady aka Irom Sharmila Chanu from Manipur who kept a fast for 16 years for the sake of humanity and equality in society. After breaking the fast, she joined the democratic political system. she married Desmond Coutinho in 2017.

Speaking at the event, Jaspreet Kaur said “This is a story which I felt needed to be told. Hence I supported the film”.

Desmond Coutinho who has watched the trailer was very enthusiastic and revealed that he was waiting eagerly for the film to release.

The film is an initiative by Jaspreet Kaur and produced by K. R. Movies and Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
