Angela Raha is a multi-faceted personality. She is an entrepreneur, and a vlogger, and also handles the PR of DCP Bidhannagar. The Kolkata Mail correspondent Priyanka Dutta caught up with the talented woman in an exclusive conversation. Excerpts…

How did you start your journey as a PR professional?

Angela Raha- I started my Public Relations Manager’s journey when I started my career as Creative Head of Times Bangla.

Gradually I got connected with the industry and it went on with the flow from then. Right from my school days, I was very much into media events and it started from TTIS where I used to represent my school.

I met with different personalities from different fields and right from there I started gathering knowledge from different sectors which helped me to flourish in this field.

Tell us about your work as head of Angela Event.

Angela Raha- Angela Event is my Event management firm. It all started with just a group of friends.

I have always dreamed of being an entrepreneur. I wanted to start something of my own. An event firm is something that is of interest to me.

I love organising cultural programs and that inspired me. There were many ups and downs that I had to face as a small-town girl.

Today where I am standing is all because of the love & support I got from my well-wishers and the hard work I did.

I did many Award shows which became the talk of the town and yes this is where people started recognizing me.

2025 is a new start of my life again I believe and again will come back with many such big events soon.

You are working as the PR of DCP Bidhannagar. How did you get the job? What challenges did you face? What do you do as his PR?

Angela Raha- It was my good luck that I got the opportunity to work as Public Relations Manager of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bidhannagar.

Working under him rather than for him is indeed a big opportunity for me. Every day, I get to learn different things and that inspires me to be more strong in my life.

It happened for the first time in my knowledge that someone got the opportunity to do personal PR of such a great personality. The biggest challenge is Time Management & handling people accordingly. We all know working with Police personnel is not that easy because we never know what comes up next. But yes more the challenges it’s more fun to learn & work. I mainly manage his social events part.

When did you start vlogging? What are the topics on which you like to make vlogs?

Angela Raha- I started vlogging in 2022. I am a complete foodie and I love traveling and here is how it all started. I started promoting hotels & restaurants.

Exploring the world is one of the dreams I have yet to achieve.

You have an interest in so many fields. How do you manage time?

Angela Raha- I love to discover different things and that’s why I keep on putting myself in different fields so that I get to learn new things. I never wanted a boring life.

Time management is never a problem if you love your job. It automatically goes with the flow.

What are your next plans?

Angela Raha- I want to see myself as the leading Women Entrepreneur of Bengal in the next 3 years. I also want to take the brand Angela Event on a Pan India level.
