Sristi Dance Academy organised a wonderful event titled Ajo Uttam at Park Prime Hotel recently.

The event was the brainchild of Indrani Ganguly, the founder of Sristi Dance Academy.

Gracing the occasion as eminent guests were veteran actress Madhabi Mukherjee, Lily Chakravarty, Anupam Halder (WBCS, Joint Commissioner of Revenue, Govt. of West Bengal & Eminent Photo Artist), Shankar Ghosh, Sadhan Bagchi, and Satinath Mukhopadhyay.

This event celebrated the courage and dignity of Transgender Individuals, Specially-abled children, and Acid Attack survivors.

Anupam Halder said that when he was in school, he first saw the movie of Uttam Kumar. And from then he had consistently watched his movies. He had even tried imitating him in front of his friends. Mr. Halder said that he was more than an actor for the Bengalis. He is connected in different ways to the lives of the Bengalis. After watching his films, Bengalis have been able to think in different ways.

Indrani Ganguly said that the works of Uttam Kumar will always shine bright and his position in the hearts of the Bengalis will be on a high pedestal.
