The Astor Kolkata celebrated the start of the holiday season with a unique cake-mixing ceremony attended by Asha Niketan’s individuals with special needs.

This year, the hotel’s yearly custom gained greater significance as the staff welcomed Asha Niketan residents and kids for an afternoon full of happiness, laughter, and the spirit of Christmas.

“The Cake Mixing Ceremony is one of our most cherished traditions, and celebrating it with the children of Asha Niketan made it even more special. The afternoon was illuminated by their enthusiasm and vigor, which served as a reminder of the genuine spirit of the holiday season: community service, compassion, and solidarity,” said Mr. Amit Kobat, General Manager of The Astor Kolkata.

The children enthusiastically participated in the ceremony by helping the hotel’s culinary team mix a variety of dry fruits, nuts, spices, and fruit juices, carrying on the long-standing tradition that signals the start of Christmas preparations.
