Platform 8, an OTT platform of Aakash Aath, one of Bengal’s top general entertainment channels, announced its eagerly anticipated list of seven brand-new, thrilling online series that would make 2026 an exciting year for Bengali viewers.

The press conference were graced by Haranath Chakraborty, Avijit Guha, Fahim Mirza, Bias Dhar, Rahul Deb Bose, Durbar Sharma, Averi Sinha Roy, Sourav Saha, Shanoli Chattopadhyay, Sumit Kumar Roy, Debraj Bhattacharya, Ishani Sengupta, Korok Samanta, Shankar Debnath, Anindita Bhadra, Rana Basu Thakur, Lokenath Dey, Disha Dasgupta, Pradip Dhar, Taranga Sarkar, Pushan Dasgupta, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, Arshiya Mukherjee, Megha Chowdhury, Debi Saha, Rishabh Chakravorty, Sushovon Das, Rahool Mukherjee, Arijeet Toton Chakraborty and the Director of Aakash Aath & Platform 8, Priyanka Bardia.

The trailers and posters of the upcoming OTT releases Ichchepuran, Khanikta Premer Moton, Nisith Sen, and Swargarath Sargaram were released at the event.

The story of Indra, Maya, and Brishti will be told in the terrifying paranormal thriller Nisith Sen. Indra is a brave police officer who frequently has to relocate for work. His only daughter, Brishti, begins having enigmatic dreams a few days after he recently posted. Her mind and soul are totally captured by a terrifying figure known as Nisith Sen. Brishti breaks away from her daily routine as a result. The web series’s intriguing plot will be formed by the startling identity of Nisith Sen, Brishti’s unpleasant relationship with the odd figure, and the startling disclosures made by parapsychologist Ms. Ira Mitra.

Directed by Sushobhon Das, the cast consists of Sumit Kundu as Nisith Sen, Fahim Mirza as Indra, Ankita Majhi as Maya, Bias Dhar as Brishti, Sourav Saha as Anirban, and Shaoli Chatterjee as Ira. It is produced by Tathagata Bhattacharya.

The web series Khanikta Premer Moto is a perfect example of a romantic fairy tale. Because even flawed couples deserve a flawless reunion, the show will tell the story of how a breakup holiday gone bad becomes a matchmaking expedition when two unexpected loves band together to save Ujaan and Mohona’s romance.

Khanikta Premer Moto stars Rahul Dev Bose as Ujan, Megha Chowdhury as Mohona, Avery Singha Roy as Shreya, Durbar Sharma as Priyam, Rishav Chakraborty as Soumya, Moupiya Goswami as Sohini, Ayan Bhattacharya as the Boss, and Debi Saha as Srabanti. Khanikta Premer Moto is directed by Rahool Mukherjee, and Proloy Sarkar has composed the music.

The web series Ichchepuran will tell the intriguing tale of a regular life insurance agent who hopes for quick wealth, illustrating the universal struggle between destiny and reality. He finds an enigmatic stone that gives him quick success but also bad luck. The debt-ridden life insurance agent must make a moral decision between cursed affluence and compassion.

Ichchepuran is directed by HaranathChakraborty. The cast consists of Debraj Bhattacharya as Apurba, Ishani Sengupta as Apurba’s wife, Aparna, Shankar Debnath as Bhootnath, Korok Samanta as Sadananda, Anindita Bhadra as Shiuli, Rutvik as Bilu, Anirban Bhattacharya as Ratan, Soumen Dutta as Ashok, Avijit Guha as Zonal Manager, Rana Basu Thakur as Mr. Karlekar, Rupkatha Kuila as Jhimli, and Pradip Bhattacharya as Tea Man.

Swargarath Sargaram is a touching story about a middle-aged man’s desperate attempt to provide for his family, which takes an unexpected turn when he purchases a used hearse. He gets sucked into the massive wave of debates and superstitions because of this initiative he makes for the benefit of his family. He overcomes all obstacles and transforms the beliefs and fortunes of his village people with his integrity and strong faith.

Swargarath Sargaram is directed by Arijeet Toton Chakraborty. The cast consists of Lokenath Dey, Pradip Dhar, Taranga Sarkar, Pushan Dasgupta, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, and Arshiya Mukherjee.

Nisith Sen will premiere on 2nd January, 2026, and Khanikta Premer Moto will premiere on 14th February, 2026. 

Morali, Patal Jhor, and Amar are the other upcoming web series that are soon going to air on Platform 8.
