“The love for Queens has been incredibly special. Seeing viewers support these characters and their battle brings me the greatest joy. Meera’s response is a blessing, and her journey is one of strength, vulnerability, and determination. It was equally exciting to record the rap song because it allowed me to celebrate the show’s energy freshly and use music to convey Queens’ spirit,” said Mimi Chakraborty.

“At its core, Queens is about resilience and reclaiming power. We aimed to convey a narrative in which women actively shape their own destinies rather than merely responding to events. Viewers’ gratitude has been incredibly fulfilling and motivates us to keep telling stories that defy expectations and start dialogues,” said director Nirjhar Mitra.

Queens, which takes place in the complicated sociopolitical environment of North Bengal, centers on Meera, Sabitri, Jhuma, and Polly—four women who are compelled to fight a remarkable battle following the horrific deaths of their husbands. Grief gives way to vengeance as they learn the truth about the massacre, making them powerful participants in a perilous struggle for survival.
