Focus On Women’s Empowerment At Doctor’s Choice Aparajita

The BBRL Foundation, the CSR division of Budge Budge Refineries Ltd. (BBRL), the manufacturer of Doctors’ Choice edible oils, has introduced Doctors’ Choice Aparajita, a skill development program centered on culinary entrepreneurship, as part of its ongoing commitment to women’s empowerment and inclusive development. The Foundation wants to train 200 women in order to help them turn their culinary skills into opportunities for a sustainable livelihood before the holiday season arrives. The participants will obtain an NSDC Certification upon program completion, which will enhance their employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.
At MNG Academy’s Skill Center, an authorized NSDC Skill Partner, the first group of fifty women has started training. Women from a variety of backgrounds have registered for the program, including home science colleges, non-governmental organizations, self-help groups, and our local communities; women wishing to start or resume their careers; and women hoping to launch home-based food businesses. In order to understand each participant’s goals and aspirations, these institutes are conducting a thorough screening process for registrations.
The training module blends the fundamental business skills needed to manage a food business with hands-on culinary instruction. Food safety and hygiene, FSSAI compliance, customer service, cloud kitchen operations, costing and pricing, digital marketing, and onboarding food delivery services like Swiggy and Zomato will all be covered in the training.

Registrations for the remaining batches are still coming in, demonstrating the positive response to the initiative. By the time the program ends before Durga Puja, the BBRL Foundation hopes to have given 200 women the knowledge and self-assurance they need to pursue careers in the hospitality and food service industries, home kitchens, catering services, and cloud kitchens.
The BBRL Foundation continues to fund programs that encourage women’s economic participation, entrepreneurship, and skill development through Doctors’ Choice Aparajita. The program demonstrates the Foundation’s dedication to developing opportunities that promote independence and support long-term community development.
