Aakash Aath Announced New Serials- Balika Badhu and Bridhhashram 2
Aakash Aath announced the launch of two new serials, ‘Bridhhashram 2’ and ‘Balika Badhu’ as a part of their initiative to revamp their prime-time slot.
The cast and crew of both the serials including Lily Chakraborty, Chhanda Chatterjee, director Debidas Bhattacharya from Briddhashram 2 and Adrija Mukherjee, Goutam Mukherjee, Samridhya Paul and director Manish Ghosh from Balika Badhu attended the webinar hosted to launch serials.
The Directors of Aakash Aath, Eshita Surana Poddar and Priyanka Surana Bardia were also part of the virtual session.
Briddhashram 2 takes forward the popular story of ‘Amar Thikana Tai Briddhashram’. The story here will revolve around the topsy-turvy relationship between Yashoda and her family members where an old age home named ‘Sesher Kobita’ will form the crux of the storyline.
Lily Chakraborty will be essaying the titular role of ‘Yashoda’ in this serial. “I had thought that I will return to acting after the situation becomes normal. But when I got this offer, I thought that this will be a good start. The makers are taking all the precautions to keep us all safe during the shoot” said the veteran actress.
Written by noted Bengali author Bimal Kar, Balika Badhu is the story of a young girl who gets married before she is old enough to understand the meaning of marriage. The story is portrayed against the backdrop of the Indian freedom struggle. Gradually the young girl and her school-going husband grow as a couple and begin to love each other.
Adrija Mukherjee will be seen in the role of the young girl who is getting married. Speaking about her experience, the young actress said that she loved to dress up and she was enjoying the shoot thoroughly.
Samridhya Paul who will be seen in the role of the school going husband mentioned that he read the story before starting the shoot of the serial. The innocence of the character appealed to him very much.
Both the serials will be aired from 31st August, 2020 every Monday to Saturday only on Aakash Aath. Bridhhashram 2 will be aired at 7.30 pm and Balika Badhu will be aired at 8 pm respectively. ‘Dipabolir Satkahon’ will make a comeback at 7.00 pm on 31st August 2020 on Aakash Aath.
