Bhowanipur 75 Palli organized the Khuti Puja to mark the start of Durga puja proceedings this year amidst the Coronavirus scare.

Bhowanipur 75 Palli is one of the important and eye-catching Durga Puja of Kolkata for its innovative concept and celebration style. This Puja is particularly famous for its unique style of pandals and also for the social work which the committee carries out throughout the year. Over the years senior politicians, celebrities from Tollywood, Theatre personalities, eminent litterateurs, industrialists, etc. have regularly visited this Puja to make it a grand success.

The Khuti Puja was graced by Firhad Bobby Hakim, Chairman, Board of Administrators, KMC, Debasish Kumar, Mayor-In-Council, Madan Mitra, Ex Hon’ble Minister of Sports & Transport & Chairman of Bhowanipur 75 Palli, Kartik Banerjee, Social Activist & President of Bhowanipur 75 Palli and many others.

Dr. S Pal (MOIC critical care unit, M R Bangur) and his team were felicitated at the event. They are the Covid-19 Warrior team that led from the front.

Bhowanipur 75 Palli will be celebrating the 56th year of their Durga Puja in 2020. The Committee has always tried to create a niche amongst all contemporary pujas by bringing about uniqueness through the concept of the Durga Puja.

Like other years, Bhowanipur 75 Palli has not forgotten their Social Responsibilities. A part of the donation and subscription that they collect in the Durga Puja is utilized in social works round the year.
