Produced by Friends Communication, Agnisikha is an upcoming Bengali serial that will be aired soon on Sun Bangla.

Sikha is a tribal girl residing in Purulia. She scored the top marks in the class 12 board exams. She is a free-spirited and independent girl and she represents the people. She dreams of getting a government job and doing welfare for the village. Vikram comes back from abroad after finishing his studies. Vikram’s father wants to open a resort in the village. To pacify the villagers, Vikram’s father had already announced to open a hospital. At the function, Sikha garlands Vikram to welcome him. Vikram to show courtesy puts the same garland on Sikha. According to tribal rules, this is considered marriage. Will Vikram and Sikha’s family accept this marriage?

The serial will be introducing a new lead pair of Sourya Bhattacharya (Character Name: Vikram) and Aratrika Maity (Character Name: Sikha).

Aratrika said “This is a new challenge for me. I have done small roles before. This is my first time as a tribal girl. Though there were workshops conducted, she did not get the dialogues beforehand. So she could not rehearse. However, she used to rehearse at home. She also used to speak with her parents in that language.

The creative director is Sandip Chowdhury while the mounting director of the serial is Angshuman Pratyush.

The outdoor shoot of the serial is going on in Purulia for the past twenty days.

The serial will start to air in 2021.
