Double Rupankar Boasts Two New Modern Bengali Songs
This Puja, Double Rupankar has been brought to the audience by the Dreamers Music PR Agency, presented by Khukumoni and supported by Theism Events.
The launch event for these two new modern Bengali songs was held at the Legend and Legacy Cafe.
The songs were recorded at the historic HMV studio in Dum Dum, now called Saregama.
These tracks, with lyrics and compositions by Sudipta Chanda, founder of The Dreamers, are performed by Rupankar Bagchi, a National Award-winning artist.
The songs came out on September 25. Since International Tourism Day is on September 27, The Dreamers has been releasing new Bengali songs before Puja for several years as a tradition. The agency also notably hosts the Mountain Music Festival in the hills.
The songs Megh Ashe Pashe and Ekla Poth were unveiled by Rupankar Bagchi, Chaitali Lahiri, Debojyoti Mishra, Aritra Roy Chowdhury and Riya Roy Chowdhury (representing Khukumoni), Ritam Saha (representing Theism Events), and music arrangers Madhurjo Mukherjee and Ranadeep Mukherjee, among others.
The music arrangement for the first song, Megh Ashe Pashe, was done by Ranadeep Mukherjee (popularly known as Manu), while the second song, Ekla Poth, was arranged by Madhurjo Mukherjee.
Rupankar Bagchi said, “I first visited this studio in 1992 to watch the recording of Suman-da ‘s songs. Later, of course, I went back repeatedly to record my own albums. I recently returned to record two new songs. I’ve collaborated with Sudipta on multiple projects previously; the work is outstanding”.
Sudipta Chanda said, “I’ve been producing new Bengali music for quite some time now. Bengali travel songs are a central part of our work, and we frequently film our music videos in different mountainous areas. For these two songs too, the stunning mountain scenery will enchant viewers, enhanced by the soothing quality of the music”.
Both songs are available on all major online music streaming platforms, and the music video for Ekla Poth can be found on the official YouTube channel of The Dreamers Music PR agency.
