A middle-aged woman in our society has to behave in a certain way. She cannot try new things or experience life in a new way as per her wants. That is thought to be indulging in something unnecessary at her age. But why do they have to give up their dreams just because they are middle-aged?

With this idea, Star Jalsha has come up with a new serial titled Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasha.

The press meet of the serial was graced by Aparajita Adhya who plays Kojagori and Anusha Viswanathan who plays the role of her daughter Tota.

Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasha revolves around the character of Kojagori Basu who is a mother and a wife. She lives with great enthusiasm. She is not deterred by any criticism. Her daughter Tota is her immense support system. Can she fulfill her long-cherished dreams in middle age?

Speaking at the event, Aparajita Adhya said “Every woman is a Kojagori Basu. Everyone has some unfulfilled desires. I have always lived my life on my own terms but without hurting anyone. I have been like this from a young age. For that, I had to face many struggles in my life. However, that is not a problem. I am happy that whatever choices I have made in my life is solely my own”.

“My mother-in-law is Kojagori Basu in real life. She is highly educated and worked as a high official. However, she did not know English. So when she wanted to go abroad for trips, my husband and father-in-law thought it was impossible. However, she could do that and I sent her first on a trip to Sri Lanka. And now she has traveled to half of the countries of the world. Every woman can achieve their dreams at any age. This is living proof” said Aparajita Adhya.

Anusha Viswanathan will be making her debut on the small screen with this serial. She had earlier worked with Aparajita Adhya in two films. “She always fights for her mother and she always voices her opinions. She is the biggest champion of her mother. Even today, there is micro-aggression in our society when dealing with boys and girls. Those issues are present and this I what every woman has to deal with in their own way” said the young actress.

The show also boasts actors like Chandan Sen, Anashua Majumdar, Arnab Banerjee, Debottam Majumder, Ipshita Mukherjee, Dulal Lahiri, and others in pivotal roles.

The serial will begin to air from 25^th September, Monday to Sunday at 9 pm only on Star Jalsha.
