West Bengal has seen a notable increase in the number of infertility cases, according to Indira IVF. The region had a 10% increase in patients year over year, according to the business.

The results were presented at the fifth anniversary and the opening event of Indira IVF‘s Howrah unit, which was presided over by Arup Roy, the West Bengal government’s Minister in charge of the Department of Food Processing Industries and Horticulture Department. According to the data, male infertility is the most common cause of infertility among patients who have contacted Indira IVF’s West Bengal centers. Of the cases treated, approximately 86% were due to one of three conditions: low to no sperm count, abnormal sperm shape, or abnormal sperm movement.

It has been shown that 13.9% of people in West Bengal are infertile; this amounts to almost 2 million people in the state who are of reproductive age. Lifestyle changes, delaying parenthood, and environmental conditions are all contributing causes. Almost 11,500 cycles are completed annually in Kolkata alone, with Indira IVF accounting for 20% of those cycles.

“Infertility is a significant challenge in West Bengal, and we are committed to making quality reproductive care accessible to all those in need. We are happy to commemorate this milestone since our Howrah center has played a significant role in assisting numerous couples in the state in realizing their ambition of having a family” said Mr. Nitiz Murdia, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Indira IVF.

“We have been able to provide hope and support to individuals and couples facing infertility in Howrah through our personalized approach and cutting-edge treatments. This milestone shows how committed we are and how much our patients have trusted us” said Dr. Archana Verma, the center head of Indira IVF’s Howrah facility.

At the moment, Indira IVF runs five facilities in West Bengal, giving patients access to top-notch reproductive treatment near where they live.
