A flourishing group of female entrepreneurs who are establishing a name for themselves in their respective fields has emerged in Kolkata. These women have built prosperous enterprises and aided in the city’s economic development by overcoming a variety of difficulties.

It’s interesting to observe those who are breaking new ground in women’s entrepreneurship. The city has had successful female entrepreneurs in a wide range of industries, including fashion, health, and hospitality.

Implantology and prosthodontics specialist Dr. Moon Chattaraj, founder and director of AM Medical Centre, a medical daycare center in Kolkata, believes that starting a business requires a person to be both strategically and creatively motivated in their area.

Bengal has an amazing history of advancing handloom and handcrafts, according to Indian banker turned handloom industry entrepreneur Roshni Mukherjee, owner of Label Myosutra. Currently, Ms. Mukherjee collaborates with twelve female weavers from Bengal who have woven sarees, jackets, and other handloom items for her.

Most restaurant managers are men or well-known chefs. Dispelling the notion, the city is bestowed with a well-known eatery run by female entrepreneur Amrita Annie. Amrita not only followed her love but also created the R D Burman-themed restaurant Pancham er Adday.

It was a challenge for Ms. Mita Samaddar, owner of the cloud cuisine Dharmata Canteen, to carry on her father’s heritage of the “Pice Hotel”, which prospered in the 1990s. There were mixed feelings about using her kitchen again but there was joy as well as a sense of possibility and challenge.

With all these achievements, it is no wonder that these women have been proving themselves amazingly.
