The Subh Mahurat of Avijatrik was followed by a press conference of the film. The film is presented by Bhandarkar Entertainment and Gaurang Films while the script and direction by Subhrajit Mitra.

Gaurang Jalan and Madhur Bhandarkar along with the cast and crew of the upcoming Bengali film were present at the launch.

“Avijatrik- The Wanderlust of Apu” is the concluding part of the original novel, “Aparajito”, written by Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay. The film focuses on the wanderlust of the main protagonist and story of a sublime bond between a father and a son. The story is of Apu and his 6 years old son Kajol.

The cast of the film consists of Arjun Chakrabarty, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Arpita Chatterjee, Sreelekha Mitra, Ditipriya Roy, Sohag Sen, Shubhro S. Das, Barun Chanda, Tanushree Shankar, Ayushman Mukherjee, Biswanath Basu, Muskan Khan, Pradip Bhattacharya, Ujjaini Mukherjee, Sanjay Biswas, Ishaan Majumder, George Baker, Irina Malysheva, Antasheela Ghosh, Rupanjana Mitra.

The music will be composed by Bickram Ghosh.
