Raahgir: The Wayfarers’ director, Goutam Ghose, said, “The film tells the story of India’s poor people who live in the forests and struggle to make ends meet. Their aspirations are constrained. Trying to gather the food for the day is their main priority. The movie rejoices in the fact that these people still possess aspects of humanity despite their constant struggle to survive. The movie illustrates the disparities between urban India and a destitute tribal community in terms of realism. A touching tale of humanism that endures even among the most impoverished of people. It is a celebration of compassion and empathy in the face of survival”.

Raahgir: The Wayfarers’ was earlier screened at several film festivals like the Busan International Film Festival, MAMI – Mumbai Film Festival, Shanghai International Film Festival, CinemAsia Film Festival (Amsterdam), KIFF – Kolkata International Film Festival, IFFK – International Film Festival of Kerala.
