They used 3D high-definition imaging & robotic arms, and this provided the doctors with greater vision, precision, accuracy & control.

The historic case in point featured a 59-year-old guy who complained of excruciating chest discomfort when he went to the hospital’s emergency room. He talked of feeling heavy and compressed on his left chest and perspiring. The patient’s angiogram revealed triple vessel disease (multiple blockages in the heart’s blood vessels), and after seven years of taking medication for diabetes and hypertension, the skilled medical team suggested robot-assisted Bypass Surgery as the best course of action.

The surgical team began the ground-breaking Robot-assisted CABG procedure under the competent direction of Dr. Lalit Kapoor. This cutting-edge method produces unmatched accuracy and better patient outcomes by combining the surgical robot’s accuracy and three-dimensional imaging with the medical team’s surgical know-how.

Robotic-assisted CABG has numerous advantages. Robot-assisted heart surgery uses small incisions instead of the 8 to 10 inches required for traditional open heart surgery, which results in less blood loss, a quicker recovery, fewer complications, and a shorter hospital stay.
