The 10^th edition of Pujor Chhonde Mato Anonde was announced in the presence of the team of the upcoming Bengali film Satyanweshi Byomkesh consisting of Parambrata Chatterjee, Rudranil Ghosh, Ayoshi Talukdar along with Gautam De, Regional Director, ICCR and Vedika Gupta, Vice President, Dollar Industries Ltd.

The event started with a dancer dancing to the tunes of the Dhak with a dhunuchi in his hand.

With the help of this initiative, Dollar will be recognising and rewarding the Best Para Dhunuchi Dancer, Best Para Dhaaki and Best Para Shankho Player in various pujos of Kolkata.

Speaking at the event, Parambrata Chatterjee who will be seen in the role of Byomkesh said “This is a great initiative and when a company like Dollar backs up a Bengali film, it is good for the film. Two of my films-Satyanweshi Byomkesh and Password will be releasing during this time and I will urge the audience to watch both the films”.

The actor also praised the State Government who has taken steps to ensure that the Bengali films releasing during the Puja get the same amount of prime time shows like the Hindi or the English films.

Some of the Puja committees participating this year are Mitra Sangha, Abasar, Halsi Bagan, Subodh Mullick Square, Udayan, Surhid Sangha, Behala Player’s Corner, Manicktala Cdf and others.

At the event, different puja committee members were handed over tree saplings as a bid to save Nature and promote conservation of Nature.

Parambrata and Rudranil played the dhak and kept the assembled audience hooked.

Rudranil said that the audiences have always looked forward to a Byomkesh film during the pujas. “Many people have found my chemistry with Parambrata very appealing. I am looking forward to seeing whether our chemistry shines more of the chemistry of Ajit and Byomkesh on the screen” said the actor.

A Dollar Big Boss van will visit the Pujas from 4^th to 7^th October 2019 and give away cash prizes to the first three winners in different categories.
