The shooting of NTI Media Ltd’s maiden venture Uraan directed by Tridib Raman is in progress in different parts of Kolkata. Srabanti Chatterjee and Shaheb Bhattacharjee along with the director was present at the shoot of the film.

The story of the film revolves around a twenty six year Poulami Banerjee who is different from the other girls of her age. Her family consists of her parents, a brother at home. She yearns to live her life independently. She secretly nourishes a desire to be a singer. So, when she receives a job offer quite a distance away from home, she grabs it without knowing about the uncertainty the job entails. What happens next?

The cast of the film consists of Srabanti Chatterjee as Poulami, Shaheb Bhattacherjee as Romit and Subrat Dutta as Bohurupi.

The music has been composed by Joy Sarkar while the lyrics are by Srijato Bandopadhyay. The script and dialogues are by Padmanabha Dasgupta.
