Shri Swapankumarer Badami Hyenar Kobole’s Motion Poster Out Now

Director Debaloy Bhattacharya, Abir Chatterjee, Shruti Das, Pratik Dutta, and other eminent guests graced the motion poster launch of Shri Swapankumarer Badami Hyenar Kobole.

This is the first venture of hoichoi studios.

A long-forgotten investigator named Deepak Chatterjee is dragged out of retirement in a city under attack from the legendary international terrorist Badami Hyena thanks to the efforts of his creator, the prolific pulp writer Swapankumar. They work together with Ratanlal, Deepak’s dependable confidant, to apprehend Badami Hyena and seize a covert container containing his lifeline. A compelling tale that weaves history, culture, and astute storytelling devices emerges as Deepak pursues Badami Hyena, reviving the couple’s long-forgotten tradition.

“Pulp drama is a genre that has not been much explored in Bengali films. This is the first outing of hoichoi studios and I hope that the audience will love this film. Fans of Swapan Kumar often do not openly acknowledge the fact that they have read his books. But it is high time that this genre needs to be explored so that the audiences can see something unique” said the director.

The director also said that it is high time that people give wings to their imagination and this film will surely do that.

Abir Chatterjee will be seen in the role of Deepak Chatterjee. “When the director wanted to make Bidaay Byomkesh, I had asked him whether he wanted to make that film. He said yes and we did that film. Likewise, when he told me he wanted to make a film on Deepak Chatterjee, I asked him the same question yet again. This is a film that has a different look and feel and I am sure that the audience will appreciate that” said the actor.

Abir also stated that people have now become very realistic and their imaginative faculty has reduced. With this film, the makers will again give wings to the imagination of the audience.

Shruti Das plays Tashi in the film. “My character is more of a mystery and to know about it, you will have to watch the film. We have many detectives in Bengali films but this detective will surely stand out as he is not the conventional detective. Moreover, the genre is also new for the audience of Bengali films”.
