After the immense success of Bodhon, the makers are back with the second season. The first season was a social drama and the second season will be a social thriller.

The trailer launch of the series took place in the presence of the director Aditi Roy, Sandipta Sen, Indrasish Ray, and others.

Raka Sen (Sandipta Sen) travels to Ipilpur with her husband Riju (Koushik Roy) for their honeymoon and official work. However, this is disturbed by the residents of the town. Satya Prakash Chowdhury (Lokenath De) and his son Suken (Indrasish Ray) have great control over Ipilpur. They have created an environment filled with patriarchal practices like witch-hunting, human trafficking, child marriage, and many more. Raka Sen becomes a catalyst for change in this place. What happens next?

“I do not drive cars much. But for the first season of Bodhon, I did drive cars. And for this season, not only did I drive cars but there were also some chase sequences. Those were really difficult and hats off to the cameraman for shooting them with such expertise” said Sandipta.

The actress further added that so much is happening in the society. The series will give a sneak peek into those issues.

“We traveled a lot to reach the location. I have to thank the production for toiling hard to make this series appealing to the audience. This is my third work with the director and it is always a pleasure to work with her” said Sandipta.

Indrasish said that he had not played a character like Sukhen before. “Most audiences have never seen me play such a character. This is something new for me too. I have never portrayed such a role. It has been an amazing experience” said the actor.

According to the director, the biggest challenge was shooting in real-time locations. The rains further made shooting a difficult task for the entire team.

Bodhon 2 is slated for release on 22^nd December.
