Ilish and Chingri Festival is a common food festival that is organized in different parts of the city during the monsoon season. However, Team Soham and Hashi Khushi Club organized an Onyo Ilish and Chingri Festival at Baranagar, Tobin Road, near the horse stable.

This food festival is different from the other Hilsa food festivals. What makes it so different is the fact that people from a socially backward background like street children, mentally unstable individuals were fed Ilish and Chingri dishes free.

This event was graced by renowned personalities like MLA Mr. Nirmal Ghosh, chief administrator of Baranagar Municipality Mrs. Aparna Moulik, honorable MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Madan Mitra, Coordinator of Baranagar Municipality, Mr. Anjan Paul, General Secretary of Trinamool Student Union Mr. Bubai Bose, MLA Mr. Tapas Roy, coordinator of Baranagar Municipality, Mr. Dilip Narayan Bose,  honorable Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, West Bengal Trinamool Congress party spokesperson Debangshu Bhattacharya and actor, state co-president of Trinamool Youth Congress and the MLA of Chandipur constituency Mr. Soham Chakraborty.
