St. Xavier’s Kolkata to Contribute 40 Lacs to West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund

The entire world is now fighting out the Novel Coronavirus and most places are under lock down. In this testing time and keeping up with the long tradition of St. Xavier’s, Kolkata has decided to extend contribution to “West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund”.

The St. Xavier’s Kolkata community of Jesuit fathers has contributed generously. Professors, teachers and non teaching staff of the College as well as the Collegiate School have committed for donating their 1-day salary of March 2020.

The Alumni members of both St. Xavier’s College (Calcutta) Alumni Association (SXCCAA) and Alumnorum Societas (St. Xavier’s School Old Boy’s Association or ALSOC) are determined to strengthen the legacy through their contributions. College and school Students are also volunteering to contribute generously to the fund.

St. Xavier’s, Kolkata will hand over a sum of Rupees 40, 00,000/-(Rupees 40 Lacs Only ) to the Relief Fund constituted as West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund .

At this time of unprecedented crisis, Fathers at St. Xavier’s are constantly praying so that all of us can get rid of the threat and destruction of the dreaded Novel Coronavirus.
