The pandemic may have confined us to our homes and have made us a little bit dreary. But that has not dampened the love that Bengalis have for the legendary Bengali actor Uttam Kumar. Lovingly referred to as Mahanayak due to his acting skills, Uttam Kumar has a fan following even now.

To celebrate his 94^th birth anniversary, eminent celebrities assembled at his statue located near Tollygunge Tram Depot. The event was an initiative of Shilpi Sansad.

The celebrities and eminent personalities garlanded the statue of Uttam Kumar and paid their respects for the yesteryear legendary actor.
