Protesting against injustice is a basic human right. Not everyone can do that. But what if protesting means changing the course of life of an individual completely forever? If raising a voice leads to life-altering ramifications, will the protestor step aside silently and watch the incident unfold? Star Jalsha’s latest offering Boron centers around a woman’s fight for justice.

Tithi Mukherjee is an ambitious, hard-working young woman who is preparing for the Public ServicesExamination to fulfill her dreams. She has been raised single-handedly by her mother. Tithi is firmly rooted in traditional values and quintessential Bengali middle-class ethics. On the other hand, Rudrik is a spoilt brat from a family of means.

The story unfolds as one day Tithi witnesses Rudrik causing a road accident. Driven by her self-righteous beliefs and upright principles, she lodges a complaint against Rudrik that leads to his arrest. Enraged, Rudrik vows to wreak havoc in Tithi’s life. Thereafter, in a dramatic turn of events Rudrik’s father gets Tithi and Rudrik married. How would Tithi cope with this turn of events? Does this marriage change her life forever?

The role of Tithi will be played by Indrani Paul while Sushmit Mukherjee will play the role of Rudrik.

Boron will air from 5th April onwards, Monday to Sunday, at 8 p.m, only on Star Jalsha and Star Jalsha HD.
