The trailer of the film Projapoti showcases the bond between a father and his son. His son works independently. The father begins a quest for finding a match for his son and this leads to interesting situations.

The trailer of the much-talked-about film was launched in the presence of Dev, director Avijit Sen, Koneenica, Shweta Bhattacharya, Atanu Raychaudhuri, and others.

Dev said “When we were talking about the story, we had in mind Mithun da for the role of the father. Only then the character could be portrayed well. It was during a reality show shoot that I told him the story in a few minutes. He immediately agreed to do the film and asked me to adjust the dates with him. Momo di (Mamata Shankar) was contacted by Atanu da who agreed to do this film. This is how we could get two stalwarts for this film”.

Mithun Chakraborty and Mamata Shankar will be sharing screen space with each other after forty-seven years.

Koneenica said “I am grateful I was considered for the role. Every character in the film is so important to the film. I have known Dev for so many years now and to see how he has evolved is amazing. He surely makes you feel amazed with the way he acts in the different scenes in the film”

Shweta who is making her debut in Bengali films with Projapoti thanked the entire team for giving her a chance to work with such stalwarts of acting.

Rathijit Bhattacharya, Surajit Chatterjee, and Anupam Roy composed the music for the film. The lyrics have been penned down by Anupam Roy, Prasen, and Surojit Chatterjee.

Projapoti has been written jointly by Avijit Sen and Atanu Raychaudhuri.

Projapoti is eyeing for release on 23^rd December along with Hatyapuri by Sandip Ray and Haami 2 directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee.
