LG Electronics organized the zonal round of Mallika-e-Kitchen Cooking Contest 2019 in Kolkata.

The zonal round was judged by celebrity chef Rukma Dakshi, Mr Ajay Sharma, Regional Business Head, West Bengal and North East, LG india and others.

The contestants were asked to cook a main course dish within a time span of ninety minutes in LG Charcoal Microwave oven.

The main aim of this competition is to throw light on the importance of hea;thy food and also educate the Indian homemakers.

This is the 8^th edition of the cookery contest. The contest will see a total of three winners from each Zonal Level round and then these participants will compete against each other in the finale which will be held on 24^th August, 2019.

The winners of the zonal round were Piyalee Ghosh – Kolkata (First), Puja Sarda – Durgapur (Second) and Mridusmita Dowerah – Guwahati(Third).

The annual event began in 2009 and was developed to showcase the benefits of microwave oven cooking.
