10-Day Spices Fiesta Kottayam Food Festival Announced At The Westin
The highly anticipated “Spices Fiesta Kottayam Food Festival”, which is scheduled to take place at Seasonal Tastes from June 16 to June 25, has been officially announced by The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat. This ten-day festival aims to bring the essence of Kottayam’s spice-heavy cuisine to the plates of food connoisseurs in Kolkata, taking them on an unforgettable culinary trip.
As the center of Kerala’s spice trade, Kottayam is renowned for cultivating a wide variety of spices, including cardamom, pepper, chilli, and turmeric. The Spices Fiesta Kottayam Food Festival aims to highlight the bright and rich flavors that characterize the area’s culinary legacy by giving visitors the chance to experience the genuine flavors of Kottayam right in the center of Kolkata.
The menu consists of dishes like, ‘Appam and stew’, ‘Idiyappam and Crab Masala’, ‘Chemmeen Kari or Prawn Curry’, ‘Malabar Parthas and KozhiChuttathu’ and many more.
The buffet menu also highlights the Traditional Kerala Sadhya which consists of ‘ Pink boiled rice’ along with ‘Thoran’, ‘Olan’, ‘Upperi’, ‘Pappadam’, ‘PuliInji’, pickles, and ‘Payasam’ spread out on a plantain leaf.
