On Mother’s Day, Orko’s Restaurant and Lounge in City Centre 1 held a culinary event honoring ten exceptional women selected from all over the city. These women, chosen for their signature recipes, have used food to mold their families.

Nominations were accepted for Orko’s Restaurant and Lounge to tell the tales of mothers whose cooking defines their meals. Something that distinguishes them from other houses. The Mother’s Table Menu, created by the staff at Orko’s Restaurant and Lounge, City Centre 1, will be served for lunch and dinner on May 10 and then for two full months. Additionally, Regenta Orko’s Hotel in Kasba will also showcase these dishes.

Every dish will come with a story card that includes the mother’s explanation of the recipe, the reasons behind her choice, and the custom it represents. Instead of merely consuming food, guests will sit down to share in someone’s most cherished memories.

“Every chef has an untold tale to share.  For most of us, our mother’s kitchen is where that story starts. This Mother’s Day, we at Orko’s wanted to do more than just send flowers and well wishes. Our goal was to provide these women with the platform they have always deserved. For decades, these ten mothers have been cooking with passion. We are honored to bring those recipes and share their stories with the people,” said Kaushik Sengupta, Corporate General Manager of Orko’s Restaurant and Lounge.

The restaurant congratulated the ten featured mothers, and patrons will have the chance to get to know the women behind each dish. To commemorate the event, there will also be a special photo booth called My Mother, My Hero.
