5 Iconic Films To Be Screened At iLEAD Film Festival

iLEAD Films announced the iLEAD Film Festival in the august presence of Pradip Chopra, Dr. Soumen Chatterjee, and Mom Mitra.

A total of five films will be shown at this film festival. They are as follows:

  • 1971- India’s Finest Hour- It shows India’s military victory in the 1971 India-Pakistan war that led to the independence of Bangladesh.
  • Before You Die- It deals with cancer and is a story about love and life.
  • Kusum Ka Biyaah-The yet-to-be-released film shows how poor people coped with lockdown during the Covid pandemic.
  • Transfer of Power- It shows how India achieved freedom from 200 years of British rule.
  • Indira- Documentary feature film on Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Speaking at the event, Pradip Chopra said “To motivate the students, I have even acted in these films. I have never acted before and this was quite challenging for me. However, I wanted to show the students that they can do anything at any age. With this film festival, we wanted to show the works that iLEAD Films has done”.

He also added that the institute’s students worked in assistant roles in the films so that they have hands-on training and know how things work.

The Film Festival will continue from 26th to 30th May at 5 pm at the iLEAD Auditorium, Topsia, Kolkata.
