The 5th ICC Social Impact Summit & Awards was held at Taj Bengal.

The award ceremony was organized to honor those companies who have made noteworthy achievements in creating social impacts through CSR.

The event was graced by eminent dignitaries like Dr. Shashi Panja, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Industries, Commerce & Enterprises and Department of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal, Mr. Sanjay Budhia, Past President, ICC & MD – Patton Group, Ms. Rowan Ainsworth, Consul-General, Australian Consulate- General, Kolkata and Dr. Rajeev Singh, Director General, ICC.

The Social Impact Leadership Award of the Year was conferred to Dr. Vibha Dhawan by ICC.

The purpose of the event was to honor and celebrate the social impact projects undertaken by numerous organizations and people. The summit featured an award ceremony after a technical presentation on the rise of sustainability in CSR.

The significance of corporate social responsibility and its effects on society was stressed by Mr. Sanjay Budhia, Past President of ICC and Managing Director of Patton Group.

CSR efforts have grown in India throughout the years. Since its inception, CSR activity has grown positively in India. Thus, one will need to take on more obligations. This was highlighted by the eminent guests.

 A technical session on the Emergence of Sustainability in CSR- A Paradigm Shift was also organized. The session was moderated by Dr. Amit Kumar Thakur, Head CSR & Senior Fellow, TERI.
