The first song launch of Parineeta titled Tomake directed by Raj Chakraborty took place in the presence of the cast of the film.

Subhashree Ganguly, Adrit Roy, Ritwick Chakraborty, Falaq Rashid, Padmanava Dasgupta, Arko, Priyanka Poddar, Adrija Roy, Arnab Bhaumik and others graced the occasion.

The song Tomake showcases the love of Mehul and Babai da in the film.

Looking radiant in short cropped hair and a floral dress, actress Subhashree cast a pretty picture at the event. “Sohini Sengupta of Nandikar helped me a lot to portray this role. She gave me a few tips like memorising the whole script. I knew each and everyone’s dialogues. I just used sunscreen for the role and there was no make-up. So I did not have to do any touch up. So I could focus on the acting” said Subhashree.

Subhashree worked with Ritwick for the first time. “I was a bit tensed and scared when I heard that I will be cast opposite him. He is the God of Acting. Many people asked me to learn acting before facing the camera opposite him. But when I went to the sets, he was just another human being. He is such a great actor and yet so humble. He was Babai da for me on the sets and hence I could also portray my character so well” added the actress.

Arko is behind the music of this film. This is second Bengali film as a music composer after Shesh Theke Shuru. One song Tomake has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal and the other song has been sung by Arko.

Falaq Rashid in her first film plays a grey character in the film. The character according to the actress is an ambitious person. “I loved working with Subhashree and Ritwick da. They are so experienced artists. It was a great experience. It was a dream project for me” said Falaq.

Ritwick plays Babai da in the film. Speaking about his experience of working with Subhashree, the actor said “I had no idea about her acting capabilities as I had only seen her in commercial movies where there was no scope for her to act. So when I saw her as Mehul in the film, I was shocked. She had acted in such an exemplary manner”.

Raj Chakraborty was full of praises for the entire team. “Everybody has worked hard to make this film possible and I am very thankful to everyone. I have to say one thing and that is everyone will be shocked to see the amount of hard work that Subhashree has put in to portray the character. She has surpassed herself as an actress” said the director.

Adrija who began her career as an actress with a serial under Raj Chakraborty’s production thanked the director for making her dream come true. This is also her debut film and she was glad that she was part of such a great team.

The film will be releasing in August.
