Seminar Organized on Electrical Safety in Public Buildings in Kolkata
International Copper Association India (ICA India) in association with Power Cable Alliance (PCA) and Fire and Security Association of India (FSAI) organized an event to throw light on the need for electrical safety in public buildings.
The inaugural of the event was done in the presence of Mr Sanjeev Ranjan, MD, ICAI, Mr Debasish Banerjee, MD, CESC and Mr Jag Mohan, DG of Fire Services.
The agenda of the event was to focus on best practices on electrical safety, selection of Fire Survival Cable at key public buildings such as hospitals, airports and metro stations.
The recent fire incidents happening in different parts of Kolkata all point to the fact that quality of the cables must be focused upon. “People in Kolkata do not want to spend much money on cables. They will spend less money on the cables and in turn increase their danger. This must be paid heed by the people. They must spend on good cables so as to ensure that the safety of their homes is kept in check” said Sanjeev Ranjan.
The event was attended by 100 delegates.
Durga puja is just around the corner and hence electrical fire safety to avoid accidents must be practised. Hence it is important to follow basic electrical fire safety requirements.
