Renowned Umpire Simon Taufel Highlights Important Aspects Of His Book- Finding The Gaps
Starmark, in association with Pan Macmillan India, organized a conversation between cricket aficionado and media & communications consultant Nilaanjana J Chakraborty and Simon Taufel, five-time ICC Umpire of the Year and author of the book ‘Finding the Gaps’ at its South City Mall outlet.
Simon Taufel was adjudged the ICC Umpire of the Year from 2004 to 2008.
Through this book, Simon Taufel has brought out the best characteristics of an umpire. It was written in such a way that it is applicable beyond the boundaries of umpiring.
Sachin Tendulkar, who has written the Foreword, feels ‘Aspiring managers, sportspersons and those who are making a crucial career choice, will benefit hugely (from the book)’.
Steve Waugh considers the book ‘A roadmap for all of us to help unlock our full potential and make the most of our talent’.
The conversation was based on Simon Taufel’s recent book ‘Finding the Gaps’, and various interesting aspects of cricket, including the first ever day-night Test match in India now being played with pink balls in Kolkata (from November 22 to 26, 2019).
