Kankana Chakraborty had made two short films namely Written By? And Anurup/Mirror Image which received much acclaim at national and international film festivals. Kankana who has studied acting in Los Angeles made her debut as an actor in a Bengali web-series starring Rajat Kapoor. The web-series has been directed by Sourav Chakraborty. ShobdoJobdo will be premiering soon on Hoichoi.

Amitabh Bachchan has been her inspiration and mentor for a long time and she chose the medium of cinema in the dream of meeting his mentor sometime.

Kankana shared the teaser of ShobdoJobdo via e- mail to Amitabh Bachchan and the next day he shared the same on his Twitter and Facebook page. This is the second time Big B shared and wrote about Kankana’s work. He also shared Anurup/Mirror Image’s trailer on his social media platforms.

Kankana is too excited to about the premiere of ShobdoJobdo as she has shared the screen with one of her favourite actor Rajat Kapoor. He plays a writer and Kankana plays one of his characters from his books.
